Computer Engineering
The Computer Engineering Department at SAL Engineering & Technical Institute was established in 2014 with the aim of imparting fundamental knowledge of computer engineering concepts, technical skills, research abilities, and practical expertise to apply this knowledge in real-world situations. The department strives to nurture creativity, talent, and in-depth understanding of computer technologies among students.
Affiliated with Gujarat Technological University, the institute offers a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering with an intake capacity of 120 students. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to cover both the depth and breadth of computer engineering, ensuring students gain a strong theoretical foundation as well as hands-on experience.
The department is dedicated to developing both technical and interpersonal skills in future engineers. It emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and teamwork to prepare students for dynamic roles in research, design, development, IT management, and beyond. Graduates can look forward to exciting and rewarding careers in various industries, contributing meaningfully to technological advancement and societal growth.
SAL Engineering & Technical Institute is equipped with state-of-the-art computer laboratories comprising 100 Intel Core i3 desktops (3.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD), ensuring a robust platform for academic and practical learning. These systems are supported by a comprehensive range of peripherals and auxiliary hardware to facilitate hands-on training and project development. The institute's management is committed to maximizing student engagement by providing seamless access to lab resources, thereby encouraging practical innovation and real-world implementation of technical concepts.
Students have access to high-speed internet through a dedicated 16 Mbps broadband connection. Furthermore, the campus is integrated via a 100 Mbps switched Ethernet local area network (LAN), creating a dynamic intranet environment for efficient file sharing, collaborative learning, and digital resource access.
The infrastructure includes essential computer peripherals such as USB-enabled laser printers, high-resolution flatbed scanners, HD web came
ras, and ceiling-mounted multimedia projectors to support interactive teaching and presentations.
